1. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it when needed.

You must not share your password or allow another person to access your account.

2. Use of the service

You agree not to misuse Meal Ark or assist anyone in doing so. This includes attempting unauthorized access, reverse-engineering the software, disrupting our systems, or using the service for unlawful activity.

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe an account violates these Terms or applicable law.

3. Intellectual property

The Service, its original content, features, and functionality remain the property of Meal Ark Inc. and its licensors. Users retain ownership of personal data and user-generated content submitted to the Service.

You grant Meal Ark a limited license to store, process, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the Service. Our trademarks and branding may not be used without written permission.

4. Termination

We may terminate or suspend an account immediately for a violation of these Terms. When access ends, your right to use the Service also ends.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@mealark.com. Some data may remain in backup storage for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

A failure to enforce a right or provision does not waive that right or provision.

6. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect service changes, legal requirements, or business changes. For material revisions, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice before the new terms take effect.

Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

7. Fair use and rate limits

Premium access is subject to our Fair Use Policy. Automated, excessive, or abusive usage patterns—including activity resembling bots—may be limited to keep the Service reliable for everyone.

References to “unlimited” or “full access” are always subject to reasonable fair-use safeguards.

8. Downgrades and subscriptions

A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not issue refunds for unused subscription time. After downgrade, premium-only features and saved weekly plans may be removed, while daily meal plans remain available for 7 days before automatic deletion.

Free-tier features remain available subject to their current usage limits.

9. Disclaimers and limitations

Meal Ark provides meal recommendations and nutrition information for general informational purposes. It does not provide medical or dietary advice and should not replace qualified healthcare or nutrition professionals.

Although we work to keep information accurate and the Service available, we make no warranty about completeness, uninterrupted availability, or suitability for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meal Ark Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

10. Payments and renewals

Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe depending on where you purchase. Billing, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are also governed by that platform’s terms.

Meal Ark does not directly store or process your full payment-card information.

11. Entire agreement

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. These Terms and our Privacy Policy form the entire agreement between you and Meal Ark Inc. concerning the Service and replace earlier understandings on the same subject.
